5.0 out of 5 Stars – It is also about a state of mind that encourages an angler to love fishing even more than just the act of catching …, by Jerry Kustich, January 20, 2017 (Cane rod maker and Author of Around the Next Bend and others); Format: Paperback; This review is from: How to Improve Your Fly Fishing & Catching: 30 fly fishing tips & tactics (Paperback)
Fly fishing is not only about a systematical technique for catching fish, it is also about a state of mind that encourages an angler to love fishing even more than just the act of catching fish. In Tom McCoy’s “How to Improve Your Fly Fishing and Catching” the author presents 30 tips that will certainly give the reader practical knowledge into how to be a more successful fly angler. More importantly, however, the author’s witty philosophical insights will inspire the angler to love the sport and its environs for a lifetime. Reading this book is like fishing with a friend.

5.0 out of 5 Stars – Another Great Contribution to Fly Fishing Literature… by Michael Postol on January 4, 2017 (LI Flyrodder Board Member); Format: Paperback
How to Improve Your Fly Fishing & Catching is another great book by Tom McCoy on the art and science of the sport we love. It is chocked full of the tips and tactics of an experienced fly fisherman who is able to convey, in writing, his masterly approach to fly fishing. In reality, it could be titled “The Inner Game of Fly Fishing” because there is so much in the book about the experience of being on the stream, successfully stalking trout. It is a fitting follow-up to his first book on the subject, “How to Fly Fish for Trout – The First Book to Read,” and it expands in greater breadth and detail, on the tips, tactics and approaches suggested in his first book. He is an easy to read writer with a flowing, poetic style, as well as a great story teller. Highly recommended!

Literally just finished reading and truly enjoyed your book. Good luck my friend. It was an easy read as all of your books are. Just like I was standing in the water talking to you. You make trout fishing, and life, sound like so much fun.
