Montauk-on-the-fly

Welcome to Tom’s Fishing Stories

You know how you can click on a link to a web page and then before you get to the content there are a bunch of ads that if you as much as look at, they take you to an ad rather than what you were looking for?  I hate that.  This web site is virgin – no commercial ads.  Endorsements, book reviews, resources and stories, but no commercial ads and no “wait 5 seconds to skip this ad” stuff.
It is a site for fishers who just want to talk to another fisher. No tricks, no devious electronic traps.
I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it.

Please take a look around and let me know what you think.  Tom’s Blog has 8 categories of topics including Tips & Tactics for the new fly fisher and my annual Fishing Journal so you can follow me around. If you are looking for posts on a particular river or place, click here. The Reading Room lets you know what I am reading and offers a peek at what is on my bookshelves. Resources includes some of the Organizations I support, Guides I have fished with, Lodges I like and Fly Shops – as well as who my favorite cane rod maker is. Fish & Friends is a photo gallery of my friends. Tom’s Books provides a short description of my books, and finally, Drop me a Line is where you can tell me what you think or ask a question. Also, please consider signing up for my email news blasts at the bottom of the page.

Thanks for stopping by.
