Tomsfishingstories.com has been posting fishing logs since 2014. Letters to Mack and my other books have stories going back to the Mid 1950’s.
For a variety of reasons, my fishing has come to a standstill of late and posts about new adventures are not materializing.
If you are a follower of this website, don’t be discouraged. There are over 330 posts covering fishing in many rivers and states to be found here, just no new adventures for a while.
I have been trying to fill the gap by re-posting old adventures on Facebook and Linked-in but realize that is a futile effort. My social media outlets will not be promoting the website going forward. I guess what I am trying to say is I am tired of the Facebook “Like and Click Hunt” which can be wearisome. I just want to lay back and post what I want to when I want to on my site. I call it retiring (again) as Click Hunting quickly becomes a job.
You can continue to explore the website and perhaps read a few of my books as I built the website five years ago to promote them (as well as to offer my fellow fly fishers helpful no cost information). It has, in my opinion, achieved its goal with over 78,000 hits to date and over 5000 books sold. I will continue to monitor and periodically update the website for the foreseeable future, until activity dissipates. I am thinking about how to serve those of you who have subscribed or signed up for the website – more to come on that.
It has been fun and I want to thank all of you who have participated in this little venture of mine. I will be forever grateful to you.
(Just so you know I will eventually be fishing on, just not on social media.)
