Up and running…

Up and running...

Tom’ s Fishing Stories website is back up and running with more security!

It is now an HTTPS site!  Address: https://tomsfishingstories.com

Please take a look around and let me know what you think.

Tom’s Blog has topics including Tips & Tactics for the new fly fisher and my annual Fishing Journal so you can follow me around.

The Reading Room lets you know what I am reading and offers a peek at what is on my bookshelves.

Resources includes some of the Organizations I support, Guides I have fished with, Lodges I like and Fly Shops – as well as who my favorite cane rod maker is.

Fish & Friends is a photo gallery of my friends.

Tom’s Books provides a short description of my books, and finally, Drop me a Line is where you can tell me what you think or ask a question.

Thanks for your loyalty and interest!  Hope to see you on the water.

Fran Betters Memorial

Fran Betters Memorial

Fran was an icon in Wilmington and on the Ausable. His fly shop and its signature lady with a hook caught in her skirt was a place to go to find out how the river was fishing and what they were taking…and they were always taking the flies he sold you – Haystack, Ausable Wulff, Bomber among them. He and the shop are gone now but not the memories.

Good friends Nick and Nancy Groudas of Groudas Art were commissioned to create sculpted versions of these flies to decorate the memorial that was dedicated to Fran last weekend.

Congrats to N&N.
